Bayonet kills in BF1 - Melee or not?

HI, not quite sure where to post this one but since it has to do with what counts as what in a game I thought maybe here?  I'm playing BF1 and I'm on Fog of War.  Just curious if the bayonet kill off...

Well I just tested it as you said and neither come up with a failure notice in the pause menu.  I was hoping someone from EA or Dice might be able to help tbh that's why I put it under technical - I wantd to know if the attack is coded having a melee tag on it.  NVM I'll just have to do the whole mission and see lol

But as i said, i think it's counting as melee Weapon.

    I don't think it is possible to get both of the codex on a single run through...It can be quite glitchy too!
