BF1- problems with low fps/stuttering

@rptierney Unfortunately it looks like your i5-6500 CPU is below the listed minimum spec of an i5-6600k.

That said Battlefield games can have wiggle room on the minimum specs. Do you know what CPUs your friends have?

@forgotensoldier Thanks for the post. I can't see anything that pops out, perhaps something in this list of steps will help. 

• Press Alt& Enter to toggle the game to Windowed mode.
• Disable Origin In Game. In the Origin client click the top left, then Application Settings. Untick the relevant box within the Origin In Game section.
• Update your Direct X: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/179113
• Update your graphics card drivers: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/finding-devices-and-updating-drivers/
• Ensure Windows is up to date: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/finding-devices-and-updating-drivers/ (how familar 🙂)
• Restart with a Clean Boot and launch the game without running anything else:https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/
• Reinstall Origin.
• [from user xScarlife) Go to Advanced System Settings, Advanced, under performance click 'options', click advanced again, when u see 'Virtual memory' click on 'modify' and select 'size is managed by the system', click 'ok' and restart your system.

If you try all this and it's ineffective can you try Carbonic's step here to limit FPS manually.

Unfortunately there's no single troubleshooting step to rule them all at this stage, but I hope this proves useful.

Are you using the BF1 to manage your graphics settings or GeForce experience?

I'm having similar issues. I asked users online, and one had the same CPU and GPU and was getting good frame rates.

@StrangerZero Yeah that system should be able to run the game without issues, it's not far from my own setup and that runs well. I don't max everything out, but I don't have much in the way of problems. 

One things that may help is to run the Windows 10 performance monitor when you play, and see if there are any resource usage spikes, or any hardware that's being used at 100%.

You can see this by typing "resource" into the search bar, it should autofil to suggest the monitor.

Have exactly the same problem...

Went from nice looking game on ultra settings 125% resolution scale, 100-125 fps to a mere 17. No MATTER what i install/update. Came 3 weeks back here when nVIDIA put out their GeForce driver. (i know it`s not always the wisest choice to install all updates at once, but havent had any problems before. Tried to restore before update. install the older version again. repair my game. NOTHING works) also tried all the origin-in game stuff. i just got a bad game now...ALL my other games run 100 fps (Wolfenstein 2, fortnite, DOOM and so on)
