BF1 BLACK SCREEN AND SPINNING CIRCLE. But no load

Hi all

Hi all. I had battlefield one working since I bought it. Recently tried it and just get a black screen with the spinning circle top right. It never goes any further. I haven't changed my system or anything but some game updates have been installed I think. I also have the premium pack now, which worked right after I bought it with no problems.

I have repaired game in origin and reinstalled without being able to fix the problem.

I have battlefield 4 and it loads OK. It seems to have a similar interface

  • Same issue here, black screen with sound and then have to reset PC to get out of game.

  • I have a variation of this glitch.  I had Origin starting with Windows, Origin pops up and update available, I click ok, update fails.  I  manually close Origin, try update again, this time update works.  I try to load BF1, all I get is the small dialog box in the upper left hand side of screen and nothing.  It sits, BF1 not responding, and then closes and back to Origin.

I have tried changing drivers, clean boot (per EA's CS page), clean install (including registry clean as described by EA) of Origin, multiple reinstall of BF1 and turning off Clouds saves.  Turning off cloud saves did nothing.  I turned it back on.  I have also run repair game as an admin and that did nothing.

BF4 will fire up no problem.  I though maybe the BF1 servers were down because of the recent hurricane through North Carolina, I'm in Boston.  Nothing from EA.

I'm not going to reinstall an OS for this game.  I paid good money for the Ultimate Edition.  I've been playing BF since BF42.  The best part of BF42 as not only the game play, but one could rent their own server.  The internet side of the game  was a bit more robust.  If EA wants to run the servers to have control of the entire game, they have to improve their service and communications to their customer base regarding game server service.

I'm open to any fresh ideas about how to fix the game so it loads properly.  I'm running an Intel 2600K, Asrock motherboard & an EVGA 1070 SC. This matter of the game not loading properly is anything but solved.

  • I’m on PS4 and every time I try to load up a multiplayer match it just shows black screen and white circle spinning forever

  • I had the exact same problem, a service "asus game first" was causing it.
I disabled it and problem was solved.

Thank you, that did the trick. After 1 year I can finally play this garbo.
