BF1 BSOD crash (Video_Scheduler_Internal_Error)

Not only does this happen in BF1, but also in BF3 and 4. Initially it only happened when I Alt-Tab'ed.
This only happens in BF games, and to no other. I've played more CPU intensive games, but played these without BSOD, without my PC crashing.

It started off when I did Alt-Tab, but now it happens each time I start up BF1. I've looked for tons of solutions. I tried changing power plan settings from balanced to high performance. Didn't work. I tried to follow the steps here, but to no avail.

I tried re-installing Nvidia drivers, and attempt installing older drivers (it wouldn't install).

I'm playing on a laptop with an external monitor. I've seen in other forums that playing with an external monitor might cause a BSOD. I tried to change monitor settings, but I didn't find many settings to arrange my two monitors (I found the settings lacking). I play the game on minimum settings, so I'll show my specs:

CPU
Intel Core i7 9750H @ 2.60GHz
RAM
16GB
GPU
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 (Lenovo)
Storage
250GB SSD + 1TB HDD

  • Have you tried running a Windows registry scan? If that doesn't help I'd suggest re-installing Windows. According to this, there's a conflict between your drivers and Windows: "The VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR occurs if you have recently installed new hardware or software which causes conflict between the video drivers and Windows 10. The Video Scheduler Internal Error is a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) error that indicates that the video scheduler has detected a fatal violation."

  • Hey @maxetrallon do you use any audio programs and if you do try to disable it or unistall it!
