BF1 DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HANG DirectX Error
So Battlefield 1 is constantly crashing with with a DirectX error "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HANG. I only see this error on Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 4.

Just wanted to link this thread with hundreds of users having the same issue.
For anyone coming across this thread in the future.
EA are wiping their hands clean with this one and pushing the issue back to Nvidia even though the issue is occurring on AMD cards as well.

Changing to Windowed mode has appeared to resolve my issue, at least for now.
EDIT: Issue is still occurring while running under windowed mode but seems to appear less often.
tried windowed
turned off origin overlay
I clean boot install geforce drivers
then clean boot install directx
same with vcc distributions
still get device removed reason
dxgi error device hung
i'm trying to cantact support again but if they tell me to reinstall windows i won't do it, they look clueless to what causes the issue and just playing time
