this wasent happening before new dlc patch a month or 2 ago but i have 60fps constant and get periodical fps drops for 5 seconds. i turned down the graphics because i thought my 970 couldnt run it but at the lowest graphics i still have the fps drops. i enabld the fps counter but when i get the fps drops it says i have 60fps

What are the rest of your PC specs such as your CPU, RAM and OS? If on Windows 10 are you using DX11 or DX12 and did you install the Win10 creators update?
your 970 is more than capable at 1080p, I own one and can run bf1 70+fps on ultra. the latest driver from NVidia (382.53) is causing the fps issues for me and many others as I have read while reading the chat bar in bf1. roll back to an earlier driver or wait for them to fix or release a new driver.
i got a i7 4790 3.60ghz , 12 gb ram and windows 10 and i did install the update. this has been happening i think since the first dlc update, before that it ran perfectly smooth. i dont think its a driver problem as i havent updated my driver since 2 months ago so i updated it now and it got a little bit worse.

I am really sorry for those troubles with Battlefield 1. Can you try to update your GPU drivers one more time, using Clean GPU drivers reinstall? Keep us posted.
