Bf1 menu strange bug

Hello, for about a week, the menu shows instability. The loading sign always appears in the upper right corner. The image sometimes changes its background, I can't access the map with operations and the menu with settings because every time I do, in 2-3 seconds I return to the main menu. The button with custimaze soldier just doesn't work. I updated the drivers, I deleted the origin cache, I used the game repair option, I deleted the twinkle folder, I have the my documents folder in the same partition as game.I don't understand.I have been playing this game since it appeared on this notebook.

My system is an Intel Cote I7 4750HQ / 8Gb Ram / Nvidia GeForce GTX 950M

  • I'm assuming you've also reinstalled BF1? I would recommend deleting both the game and the Origin client, delete all files associated with the game on your system, then finally reinstall the game. Let me know if that fixes the problems you're experiencing.

  • I already uninstalled Bf1 and origin. All without any difference. I don't know if it's a coincidence but it all started with the integration of the linked images for Battlefield 2042.

  • @22MariusDacus I'm pretty sure this is a bug on EA's servers and there's nothing you can do to fix it on your end. The bug has to do with EA using pop-up advertisment windows in BF1's main menu.

The bug usually happens randomly to people when EA adds in-game pop-ups, such as the new Battlefield 2042 pop-up ad they put in BF1's main menu.

I got this bug once myself and it eventually resolved itself after a few weeks. It might resolve itself once EA removes the Battlefield 2042 pop-up ad from Battlefield 1's main menu.

Sorry I don't have better news for you. You could try to renaming the 'Battlefield 1' folder in Documents to 'Battlefield 1 Backup' and launching the game. But I don't think it's going to fix it, because it's most likely a problem with EA's server back-end.

An easy way to test this would be to launch Battlefield 1 in offline mode with no internet connection. You'll probably be able to navigate the menus in offline mode.

  • Thanks for the information. I'm sure you're right. From time to time after a few games played, the problem in the menu disappears, but I have another 🙂 all previously unlocked weapons are now locked again but this happens only in menu. I can access them in a multiplayer game. Thanks again.

Hi @Pobijak As this thread has gone a few years without a response I'm going to lock it. Feel free to create your own post about the issue you're experiencing, though.
