BF1 not updating - origin incorrectly detecting OS

Battlefield 1 won't update via Origin and says that it will not run on my operating system as it needs to be windows 7 (6.1) or higher. I am running windows 10 fully up to date. GEForce drivers up to date.

Turn off participate in Origin Client Betas in Application settings, and restart Origin. When you log into Origin Right-Click Battlefield 1 in Games Library and Update Game that way and then try a Repair if that doesn't work.

If that doesn't work you could try the following.

Try and quit Origin. Right Click and run as Administrator. Otherwise you might have to delete the cache folder in  C:\ Users\Your User Account Name\AppData\Local\Origin\Origin. You'll have to enable show hidden files and protected system files to see it in Tools>Folder Options in explorer. Hopefully this will get Origin to properly update your details when you log back in. This is actually a fix for it not logging in online because of incorrect data in cache. It will recreate the cache folder again when you login, so it won't break it.

Check you are not using the latest Beta version of Origin but have the latest update,.

Perhaps under compatibility check it's set to Windows 10 or at least 7 other wise if that doesn't work. Origin does some funny stuff sometimes. Usually quitting and restarting will help, but it's had a few updates.
