BF1 on PS4 constantly putting me in empty servers

I live in Sydney, Australia, and this problem has got progressively worse beginning about a year ago. Initially whenever I joined any DLC maps (I bought a premium pass) it would very frequently place me in empty servers, and it became more and more difficult to find a server with anyone in it until it got to the point where I would constantly be placed in empty ones. For the record, this happens with the quickmatch option as well as when I check the server browser, which comes up as empty for everything. It is now at the situation where the game is unplayable because I cannot get into any match. It is even more frustrating because I have paid a considerably large amount of money extra for the Premium maps, most of which I have never even played. Is there any solution, or at least explanation as to why this is happening?

    Hey @theartfuldodger4,

    Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue.

    When you use Server Browser, you're only searching the Oceanic Region right? And you're not able to find any matches, even in Conquest?

    Quickmatch tends to put people in empty servers, including myself, and I'm in North America.

    However, if you use Server Browser, you should be able to find at least some Conquest matches.

    This is a problem that I never really heard of. I don't know what system you are on but I have a friend that is from Australia that I play with on the PS4 and he finds servers on the Oceanic severs to play on. These empty servers could just be the lack of a player base in Australia. It hard to tell. You could always just go play on a Europe or United States server but I know your ping will be really high. So come back and tell us what you do!

    There is less and less of players on bf1, so it's more difficult to find in speed server search.
    You do find servers with players in the server list.

    I have the same problem here, I just bought BF1 on PS5.

    There is no players.

    I'm alone on an empty map.

    Why EA still sell this game of the Playstation store if nobody plays it !

    Hi @Zefram5 Since this post is from 2018 I'm going to have to close it. You're welcome to start a new thread, though.

    However, to give you some advice first: Use the server browser rather than matchmaking, and make sure the player slots are set to show full servers.
