Have you contacted your ISP to see if they have any suggestions or fixes since it seems to be a local internet issue and not a game technical issue or EA server issue?

Hey ragnarok,

yes I have, sadly they can't help me. That said it's the Deutsche Telekom and they are not known for good technical support. My internet connection is otherwise perfectly fine (only 16k DSL).
