    Problem solved:
    This problem was caused by a recent Windows 10 update in the protection systems for Ransomware protection called "Controlled Folder Access". This prevents applications from being able to modify or write to designated protected folders such as "saved games".

    To change this perform the following:
    You can add an app to the list of safe or allowed apps to prevent them from being blockedSelect Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection. Under Virus & threat protection settings, select Manage settings. Under Controlled folder access, select Manage Controlled folder access.
