Title sums it up, BF1 will not launch. Tried launching from the desktop icon and from inside origin. When I click the game I see the blue wheel mouse curser like its going to launch, then nothing. Task manager never shows an instance of BF1 in the tray. Running I7 6700k, 16gb ram, Nvidia GTX 980, Windows 10 64 bit. Drivers are up to date, game was playing flawlessly up till the patch today. Thanks a bunch EA :/

On a lark I tried origins repair game function, took about fifteen minutes to verify files and it worked, I'm back in the game with no other issues. Update must have corrupted a file, luckily the repair diagnostic tool built into origin fixed it.

@saberforge Thanks for the post and update. @FeraKnight Are you encountering exactly the same issue? There have been various reports of different issues, but most don't manifest in exactly this way.

I'm having exactly this Issue as well

@EA_David i did not have issues playing BF1 theough Origin before update and now having critical issue. Game is up to date, been repaired, and various other methods have been tried to fix issue.Issue for me is: start game through Origin, came will load in my background processes. After about 20-45 seconds i will see game window appear (blank) and process will move to running apps in task manager. After a few seconds i will see the custom loading "dots" in a circular pattern start and then window will close, as well as the process in task manager with no error messages. Things i have tried: Delete settings folder in <user>\Documents\battlefield1 folder Make sure in profile that DX 12 is set to '0' Force uninstalled video drivers and installed latest driver (nvidia gx950) Repair game in Origin platform Try and check for updates in Origin plateform (up to date) I do not have overcocking software running ie: afterburner One event in Windows 10 (64 bit) critical error Origin lost communication witb windows, but was unable to recreate that error again. I am not at home, but i can upload dxdiag once i return home. I found no errors there upon quick look

I'm having the same issue! After the "Fall Update" I can't get the game to load. It keeps saying "Battlefield 1 Has Stopped Working". I had no problems before the update!!

@EA_David Unfortunately the same issue still persists after doing what you recommended.... You will have to escalate the problem to tech support.

Ok, i trues this weekend. Said it woukd bbe a 15-20 minute wait. I finally closed out the chat window after an hour and a half because no one came.

If it's not connecting at all can you try using a different device? The estimated time likely won't always be completely accurate but if it's still not connected after 90 minutes this suggests that something has gone wrong with the live contact. Sometimes this is down to local blockers or connection issues, so trying another device (on another network if possible) can sometimes help.

This is insane.... tried again last nice. Call back nor live chat worked. Tried on chrome and IE with ad block, and pop-up block dissabblied on both.
