BF1 won't launch after last Origin update

I can't launch BF1. I hit the play button, see the circle spin for a few seconds, then nothing.  Before the recent Origin update and BF1 winter patch BF1 worked perfectly.  I tried running as administrator, tried repairing files, and tried the clean boot method.  Also, I noticed that Origin actually says I'm in game and my friends say they see a notification that I'm in game, but the game never launches on my computer.

Wondering if this issue is due to a recent Origin update and not the winter patch as I have the same symptoms with Battlefront...  BF4 works, but I'm assuming that's because it's a browser based game?  So, BF1 and Battlefront won't launch game window, but BF4 will launch a browser window.

Need help please!  This is frustrating!!

    Fixed it!

Unfortunately I ended up completely removing and reinstalling Origin and BF1. Looks like I lost some of my soldier loadouts in BF1 :-(     But at least I can play again!

Here is what I followed to unisnstall Origin.

    MANUALLY UNINSTALL THE ORIGIN CLIENT:
    https://help.ea.com/en-au/help/origin/origin/manually-uninstalling-origin/

I just uninstalled BF1 normally through Windows.

Right click the origin icon on your desktop, then select run as administrator. After Origin launches right click the BF1 icon and select repair. After the repair finishes try playing the game and tell us if the solution worked or if we need to recommend another one.

Thanks for the ideas.  I tried those steps and still having the same problem.

  • I have exactly the same issue as Kodiak. As I haven't played for quite a bit, I can't state the actual moment when it began. I didn't change my system in any noteworthy way besides installing new drivers and replacing my old monitor a few days ago.

  • I need help, I can not play my 'battlefield 1'. When I try to open the game I get the following error message: "Many computers have accessed this version of battlefield 1 - Deluxe version recently, please try again later." What happened? I only have one computer and I've already changed the password

Well, unfortunately the issue has returned! :-(

Origin did an update yesterday and also BF1 just downloaded new or old content and my original problem has returned.

    Need help again please!
