Similar issue here. After clicking lunche game   origin status sais ingame. Then in task manager the bf1.exe showes up for 5sec and gets shot down. No game starts, no window appears. Game is broken scince patch. Nothing helped so far...

  • I just get the message 'a new update is required'. Ok - so update me! What's worse is that there is no help anywhere - live chat won't open. This is a bloody joke!

My mate had a similar problem and I tried to help him out and we got it working by:...

    - Totally signed out of 'Origin'

    - We deleted his 'Settings folder' - "C:\Users\*NAME*\Documents\Battlefield 1"

    - Shutdown and powered off his computer (turned power off at wall and let it sit till all power drained out of it)

    - Powered back on and started computer (and modem)
    - Started Origin

    - Signed in to Origin

    - Repaired Battlefield 1 in Origin  (Clicked BF1 / settings Icon / repair)

    - Started Battlefield one..

    ...: and it worked

might or might not work for ya's..  Just trying to help. .

    Same problem here!

  • We solved this problem with setting all settings back to default and screen to borderless window.

To do so i edited 3 presets one for borderless, windowed and fullscreen. (one of them shlould hopefully do it)

Just copy the setting files from this post http://answers.ea.com/t5/Technische-Fragen/Battlefield-1-startet-nicht-Windows-10/td-p/5925123/page/2

in your settings directory where is your PROFSAVE_profile located

    by default:

    C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Battlefield 1\settings

Do a backup of all files in there and try it. The reason why we tryed is an known problem after updates since bf4 and it helped.

The files located in the second post on the second site. Don't wonder we solved it in the german part of this forum.

hope it helps you out and you could come back to the battlefield.
