Solved

BF4 audio cutting out randomly.

I have tried a lot of things, even asking /r/battlefield_4 but they didn't even reply.

I noticed an audio bug recently that I can't seem to find a fix. Audio will clip out and then restart. It happens in menus and in game. Not sure where to post it so link at bottom. I've tried restarting, reinstalling, repairing, and installing base game w/o dlc, even try to mess with PROFSAVE_profile. I just wanna play my game w/ audio.

The mouse bugging at the start is due to the overlay.

I noticed that if audio cuts out while loading a map, it has to replay the whole audio clip or the map won't load.

  • @Steam_zoth_ Hello,

    Could you please try to delete Twinkle folder in Battlefield 4 folder that is located in Documents (My Documents) folder? Also, did you try to disable Origin in- game overlay in Application Settings and in Game Properties ?

    @IIPrest0nII

    I have tried disabling the in game overlay from origin already, that did nothing. As for deleting twinkle, my game has now stopped looping when audio cuts out, audio does still cut out. Now audio will just stop every so often, less frequent than at first.

  • Had to reinstall windows, so now problem has restarted and deleting twinkle file does nothing. D:

    This fixed it. Looked it up and it seems to be a problem with ryzen overclocks! Thanks!
