You need to uninstall any of the previous plugins (in control panel-remove programs)
once you do this, re-install the plugin and you should be good to go
Nope. That hasn't worked for me.

I now have this problem with the new patch. Tried all the suggestions here and some more. Not really awesome having paid for something I cannot use.
EDIT: Issue resolved...
Close origin, close browser.
Control Panel ---> Uninstall Programs
Uninstall Battlelog Web Plugins
Uninstall ESN Sonar (dont restart now)
Open your downloads folder and install latest plugin (you have probably downloaded 84 times)
Restart computer
Open browser(not origin) and head to battlelog
Downloaded and installed again!!!!!
and it worked

Its a registry issue look at this link and download the registry file to your desktop further down the page then double click and bang your done!

This will make it work with IE11 for 8 and 8.1 users.

I'm sorry... Still don't work after following your steps.
One thing to notice: I didn't have ESN Sonar installed.
Keeps not showing Battlefield pluging at chrome://plugins/
What's next? I have only 7 trial days...
