BF4 Irish

There is one thing that i would really like to know.Why does Kimble Greaves from Battlefield 4 have a nickname "Irish"?

I tried to find the answer to that question,but i didn`t,so i would be really happy if someone could give me an answer.

    Not sure, lots of things have nicknames that don't make much sense. Maybe ask on the battlelog forums and see if anyone from DICE knows.

    I think he says why he has the nic name in the last part of single player but I could be wrong.
