Every time I open BF4 to play there is no sound output at all. It mutes everything else on my computer (Youtube will cut and go silent even though its playing) but does not even show any audio coming out of the application. I've tried most of the fixes here and nothing works and I haven't seen anyone else dealing with BF4 muting their entire pc. Any help would be great, thanks. I'm using Corsair H70 Bluetooth headphones. I have no other devices for sound to switch to. Tried running Origin and BF4 in administrator mode - as well as windows 8 compatibility mode. I feel like BF4 hates Bluetooth maybe?

How to gather DxDiag information https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/how-to-gather-dxdiag-information/ When you launch the game, alt-tab out and check your sound icon (right-click and go to Sound Settings). Is your headset being used?

I have not tried turning off windows defender.. I'll give it a try. not sure how to turn it off tho.

It happends to me too, usually when i'm playing music in YT or Itunes in the background, from what i gather, my audio software doesn't play nice with multitasking (Nahimic and RealTek).
Because of that, i need to shutdown Nahimic before playing BF (sometimes, reinstalling RealTek works, but it only last so much...)

Tried turning it off - as well as turning off the firewall completely but still shuts off all sound when launching the game. :S

Do you have another sound solution you can install briefly to check and see if it is your sound card.

Well - Problem solved, there are two different Bluetooth headphones for the same one - turns out selecting the other made all the sound come back.
Good to go! Thank you... I feel dumb cause I thought I actually looked at this before posting.
