BF4 on PS3 not advancing past "rain screen"

I believe this is related to the Jan 30 update? When I launch the game, I can get past the initial animation with the plane, however when I get to the screen with the rain, buildings, background I get stuck. The rain falls and the busy icon in the upper right seems to be connecting but I'm never presented with the Multiplayer, etc menu. In other words, I'm unable to play any mode because I have no menu. I've reinstalled the app, cleared cache, disabled media server, authenticated my ps3, deleted my BF4 saved data, and everything the techs have suggested. Out of complete chance, I was able to get on the other day, but BF4 crashed during a multiplayer mission and now I'm in the same boat. Cannot play because I don't have a menu.

Just as a test, I logged in through another PS3 account on my machine and I was able to get to the menu. So I'm assuming that somehow my profile was corrupted? Is there a way to fix this. Why was I able to get on the other day then I'm locked out again after a crash? I'd love to resolve this!

Hey dude try this. At the freezing screen press the playstation button on the controller and set it to ⚽. Press it again to enter the frozen screen, then again to exit the game. Restart the system and it should work now!

Yeap, this annoying as hell, happened to me yesterday, this last patch really MESSED things up!
I can't get pass the rain screen either, and I cannot also play Air Superiority!

I posted a thread about this problem too. If I shut down the game and reload it - sometimes it will get to the menu and work but then freeze at the end of a game forcing a hard restart with error messages and then the problem happens again usually.
It leads me to believe it is an error opening your battlelog account through the game. The blinking cursor will pause for a second then the menu appears as your profile loads and the battlelog sees which of your friends are online.

I haven't logged into my Origin account online in like forever, but i had to go through all my password recovery just to sign and say THANK YOU!
I have been unable to play BF4 for literally two months with this error. I wanted to snap the disc. I couldn't believe that after BF3 that they could sink to this level of craziness on launch
Dude, I don't know how you found the fix, but it definitely worked. Kudos.

my playstation comepletely freezes so i cant do that

Disable your Internet in Options
Start BF4
Let it hang on teh burning ship screen
his the PS button
go to options\network
re-enable intetnet "test settings"
go back to BF4
Voila!
