BF4 Origin Game Time expired/requires activation

Hi,

Having problems starting BF4 'origin time' (3 day trial?), when trying to join a server, a popup appears that says "we could not activate Battlefield 4 (origin game time) on this computer using the Origin Account you provided. Please locate your product key to activate the game using your origin account".

Then I get another popup: "Looks like you've already enjoyed Game Time on this account and computer. You'll be able to continue where you left off when you purchase the game". When I log in to battlelog etc. it's clear that the game time clock hasn't started.

This problem is confusing to me because as far as I can tell, I've done everything 'by the book' and am not trying to do anything shifty. I've never had an Origin account and set one up last night specifically to try out BF4.

- Brand newWin7x64 install

- Went to Origin page and got the trial via the promo link: https://www.origin.com/en-au/store/buy/battlefield-4/pc-download/base-game/digital-deluxe-edition

- Set up a new Origin account when prompted

- Downloaded Origin

- Downloaded the game data

I've attempted to 'repair' the game, as well as rebooted the PC.

Thanks for any help.

I have never used Origin in my life. I just built my computer, it nor my Internet IP has ever connected to origin or BF4.

"Looks like you have already enjoyed game time on this computer" while my game clearly says I have over 100 hours left. I have talked to support 3 times now, done everything they said, un installed, deleted files etc. Nothing.

I have been looking forward to finally being able to run BF4, but I guess they really just want us to go over to steam and/or CoD.

I am about ready to close my origin account; I have never had problems like this with steam, blizzard or ANY other downloaded game. Someone needs to put up a banner telling people that it's their fault. WTF are the developers doing? It's not that hard to tell who has and who hasn't use the damn game LOOK AT THE LOGS. LOOK AT MY IP. But no, lets just leave everyone in the dark instead.
