  • @RAWberg914 Sorry you have me confused due to setting up a mic via website? I see your PC due to the title but when I set up my mic's on my 4 PC's it is always though windows and the program made for my headset / mic.

Is your mic on a head set and if so who made it and what kind? Also, if it is a head set mic did you download any drivers for it from who ever makes it? Fill me in as best you can and I will try and help you fix this.

  • I am not sure what you think you have done in dxsetup or or what a "voice setting website" is. Have you set a default microphone in windows?

I have a turtle beach PX 22 headset it uses a USB and MIC input. I also have windows 7

  • @RAWberg914 have you done the drivers for the mic/ headset for the turtle beach PX 22 ? As well as have you set it all up in windows and the device program if it has one?

Edit... I just looked up your headset the most I could find was this on them  :/ No drivers unless I am being blind lol. So this needs to be set up in windows :]

If you have not done it in windows yet go to right bottom task bar of windows look for small speaker and right mouse click it. Pick playback devices and set up head set and mic. The mic can be found in same area but under recording tab in both areas pick on your headset  and mic and set them both up. Then test the game :]

my headset works great for skype and all my other games just not BF4

  • @RAWberg914 Then I would try this for a fix....Edit.. I removed the solution you put on my post as it did not fix it for you.

Edit again sorry ..... also be sure you have your mic set up correct in game .... go into game , go to Auto and be sure VOIP is on.

    C:\Users\your PC Name\Documents\Battlefield 4

BF4 folder in my documents holds game configs and screen shots even if BF4 is installed on different drive. When you uninstall BF4 it does NOT remove this folder. So when you install the game again you can still have the same issues. Even if its not a new install it is still worth trying as the game cfg could be mucked up.

1- Go to my Documents and remove BF4 folder place it on your Desktop for now.
2- Be warned you do have to set up your in game settings again.
    3-Repair BF4
4- When done go test your game. If it fails reboot your PC and run repair game again and test BF4.
