CleanMem doesnt release data from nonpaged pool so it would be completely ineffective.
Having this problem too, tried a huge amount of things to fix it but no joy. Only thing I have managed to do is stop Windows battering my SSD when it tries to page out data to free up memory by disabling the page file.
Owing to the apparent prevalence on pre GCN AMD cards I am looking suspiciously at any Mantle enhancements present in BF4.
Just out of morbid curiosity more than anything else, is anyone else finding it occurs in this manner (it may have been said before but there are way too many posts for me to trawl through to find out).....
Game runs fine, leak shows after a map change. It may be the first map change, it may be the fourth (on one occaision it has triggered when loading the first map as I join a server), but it is always triggered by a map change. If you arent actively monitoring memory usage while playing it would appear to happen a few minutes or less after a map change (note map change, not a change of end on the same map).

Yeah, that seems like an accurate description of when the leak happens, seems to occur at random when the map changes.
I doubt mantle has anything to do with it because:
I don't think the game even supports mantle yet. afaik its being patched in on a later date. And mantle doesn't even support pre-GCN cards, so they aren't even using it either way.

Bwat, thats kind of my point about Mantle, pre GCN cards cant use it but I havent found any cases of GCN cards (HD7XXX +) that suffer from this (although that probably indicates that I havent looked as hard as I could have more than it indicates that this is a fact).
As for the API itself, I would be surprised, very surprised, if there wasnt already some framework already in place. It would take a considerable effort to patch it in in its entirity at a later date. Anyway, Mantle is just my own speculation and can be accepted as such, or just ignored 🙂

For what it's worth, it happened to me twice on Flood Zone only. I haven't played all maps yet but this is the only one that leaks memory at the moment.

I've delayed building a new machine until the memory leak is fixed, at minimum. Being an old timer gamer, I've come to accept bugs and glitches are common and more prevalent the more complex games become, however to be honest this memory leak issue is the worst I recall in years.
BTW, has anyone noticed some servers are very smooth yet others are rubber banding and lagging horribly even at low pings? One has to wonder if the hardware requirements are higher than DICE anticipated. Hopefully it is just a server side software fix. Otherwise, sad to say, I don't see BF4 residing on my PC after the first of the year.
This is the best unplayable game I've ever purchased.
