BF4 Won't launch ("has stopped working")

Hello there. I just recently(as of this post, last night) purchased and downloaded Battlefield 4.

Since it first installed, however, I've had absolutely no luck in launching the game. I can go to Battlelog, but whenever I try and actually launch the game, it immediately shuts down with the following message.

I've tried quite a number of solutions since to no avail.

Solutions, including:

- Re installing the game

- Trying after a clean boot

- Disabling Origins in game

- Updating Drivers

- Making each an every related application run as an administrator

- Deleting the files game files in Documents(which, curiously, only had the screenshots folder)

If anyone has even the slightest clue as to what went wrong, I'd be infinitely grateful for your help.

Also, here are my specs:

- Windows 10

- i5

- 8 gigs of RAM

- Nvidia GeForce 362.03 driver

- And I'm using chrome to open Battlelog

  • Hello .

Please, give to us txt file of dxdiag. And try this:

    1) If you have a joystic/gamepad, try unplug it. Some of this device can cause such error (pid.dll).
    2) This may cause some programs like "Razer Surround/Synapse", RivaTuner, "EVGA Precision", Fraps, MSI Afterburner, ASRock eXtreme Tuner, Skype, XFire, XSplit and other...

Keep in mind, if u use simultaneously some game programs (Steam, Origin, "Nvidia Experience", "AMD Gaming Evolved",...) that have some option overlay feature over/in game - this is 90% conflict, you'd use only one that program or overlay feature over/in game should be turn on only in one program.

Try to close all of kind process or update/delete it.
    3) Try to delete folder settings of bf4 C:\Users\[User_name]\Documents\Battlefield 4\ and don't change ingame video options such as 'API graphics" - use DX11, and "Display mode" - use Full screen
    4) try unplug second monitor and go to nvidia gpu driver and change in it "multiple display performance mode" to "single display performance mode"

    Here's the DxDiag: http://pastebin.com/PDiAAc3B

For whatever reason, my BF4 folder in documents is completely empty, save an(also empty) screenshots folder.

None of the other fixes apply to my setup/haven't been tried before. Thanks for the suggestions anyways.

I can run it now! Thanks for the help!

I guess I shouldn't rely on geforce to tell me whether my driver is updated, huh?
