BF4: "You have lost connection to the session" (another one)
I play BF1 fine daily on my PC laptop and for the life of me cannot get BF4 to work.
I can login, as soon as I join a server full or empty after the splash screen finishes the screen is black with the cursor and boom back to main menu with "you have lost connection to the session". I'm trying the trial but as of day 5 I still cant do a thing with this!
I've tried the following:
- All relevant ports are open (even the game set these in the firewall during install it seems)
- Windows Firewall off/on
- No additional virus scan rubbish interfering such as McAfee/norton firewalls etc
- I've tried screwing around with DNS flushes
- Renewing IP's
- Repairing the game install (even though its fresh basically)
- Trying on a VPN with local servers and a decent ping (Private Internet Access)
- Tried connecting on work network (ping is sub 5ms to servers)
- Tried connecting via direct mobile tethering (ping is sub 30ms to servers)
- Tried connecting without router at home
Any ideas are welcomed as this is majorly frustrating!
