Disagree! That makes no sense at all, stop rumour mongering!
I hate to "rumor monger" here but I have a few questions.
EA has stated in their official release that a disc array failed. They would obviously have backups for this as any IT department would do. So my questions are if this is not to make room for BF4 then why:
1. Are there no backups?
2. If there are backups, why have they not been applied?
3. Why are chat reps telling people it will be corrected soon when this is obviously not the case?
4. Why hasn't EA made another official announcement on the progress of the "repair"?
5. Why is Bad Company 2 the ONLY AFFECTED game?
Microsoft some years ago had a Database crash and all data was lost for several hundred thousand Microsoft accounts. Microsoft made a statement and had the accounts restored from a backup in 4 hours ('ish). Why is it so hard this time?
The more EA says it will be corrected soon, and the more silence we have from EA, makes a lot of people believe that EA is gearing up for BF4 and had to make room. While this may be temporary, why haven't they said as much? This stinks to high heaven of EA not wanting to spend money on server upgrades so they do what they can with what they have, and if a bunch of BBC2 players lose their accounts then "Oh Well".
