black screen only audio during the siege of shanghai

During the single player campaign 'the siege of shanghai', i get the VIPs into the helicopter before a group of enemies start shooting.  If i get killed in this checkpoint when i return its a black screen and audio only.  Its a bug, and its a pain in the butt - has this been resolved yet?
