This is just a suggestion, but blue/red screens of death are often caused because of some sort of overheating issue.
While you may have specs that shouldn't overheat... there are a lot of bugs happening right now which could very well cause a GPU to act funky. I have heard of a memory leak-bug causing something like this
If you haven't tried already monitor your CPU/GPU usage and GPU Temp if you can.
If you notice that it is something related to this, unfortunately, you will have to wait until they fix things on their end. Because it isn't something on your end.
Although even if it isn't related to overheating the fact you can play the game as much as you can makes me think it is something on their end. Then again I don't have Win8 and I do not know your PC specs.
I'm getting bsod too, i've been monitoring temp and it never went over 63 c°
I've tried to reinstall old invidia drivers wich i know may cause problems to amd users but still getting bsod.
