bought used bf4 game cant activate... am i screwed?

my friend bought bf4 for his laptop but needless to say it wouldnt even begin to run the game so he sold it to me.. well i cant activate it as it says the code is already used... is there a way i can...

the only way than to play the game is to use the origin account from your friend , or give it back to your friend , or buy a new game
