cache.akamai.com Network Spikes

When monitoring bf4.exe in windows 8.1 network resource monitor, im gettting network spikes from this dns name. The spike is from tcp port 80 and the receieve data is between 880kps and 1mbps. I have a 17mbps downstream connection. This makes the game freeze\lag. Is there any way to resolve this?
