Can I play Battlefield 4 in Windows 10 64 bits?

Hello all, I'm interested in buying Battlefield 4 Deluxe Edition in Origin but want to make sure I'm making the correct purchase. I have Windows 10 64bits.

Based on this site I pass the minimun and reccomended requirements (except for the vdeo card --Minimum: 512 MB AMD Radeon HD 3870 / NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT or better // You Have: Quadro K2000M--).

My specs are

  • Video Card: Quadro K2000M
  • CPU and speed: Intel Core i7 3740QM @ 2.70GHz
  • RAM: 16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz
  • OS: Microsoft Windows 10 (build 14393), 64-bit
  • Free Disk Space: 282.4 GB
  • Motherboard: LENOVO 243857U

Lenovo Thinkpad W530

I think I'd be good with these specs but it's the OS what I'm worried about since some softwares are not compatible with Win 10. I want to know if it's safe to get it without any OS incompatibility.

Thanks!

  • @Mandrakehell Hello,

Battlefield 4 and many other games work perfectly on Windows 10, so there is no reason to worry.

Well, I would recommend to test the game on your laptop before purchase. In Origin you can download Battlefield 4 Trial version to be sure that the game will work on your system. Here is the link: https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store/free-games/trials Find Battlefield 4 (Trial) and click on "Get it now"

    Good luck!

    Thanks for the advice man!!

I tested the game and seems to run kinda Ok. It has some sporadic music lags here and there (It could be because it's trial version (?)... but I think maybe It's my laptop or some configuration I need to set). I didn't have any other program running in the background when I tested.

I was having Issues with the message that says "Lost connection to session" when I tried to join a server and did the basic connection troubleshooting from EA (flushing DNS and setting compatibility properties to open as administrator). Sometimes when I tried to join a server the game took a while (like 3-5 min) in the loading window and then placed me on a game where I was the only player... And after a while I could join a couple of games with other players.

Do you think these server issues are because of trial version limitations?

I think I know a reason of the issue. Can you please make sure that servers are Official? Go to Server Browser>> Filter and select "Official" type. Trial version works only with Official type of the servers.

I tried that and worked! I could play these perfectly.

And yes, as you said, no Issues so far running the game in Windows 10.

    Thanks for the help 🙂
