list of stuff i've tried

clean install of latest drivers, repair the game, run orgin in admin run bf4 in admin (both) downlaidng and installing latest battlelog plugins, reinstalling and updating punkbuster, latest version of flash (suggested here), made sure firewall wasn't blocking game,Disable Origin in game.,ReinstalledDirectX,ReinstalledC++ redistributables,Updated  Microsoft .NET framework, turned off network discovery, stopped UPnP Device Host & SSDP Discovery and also did the port forwarding on TCP: 80, 443, 9988, 20000-20100, 22990, 17502, 42127
UDP: 3659, 14000-14016, 22990-23006, 25200-25300

internet connection is fine

still after all this that was suggested as fixes none of it has worked and the something went wrong error continues to plague my game.

Please download the latest physx driver.Go to your custom settings of your video-card software. Nvidia Control Panel > Configure Surround > PhysX > PhysX settings > select your graphics card. Disable all extra options for enhanced graphics and set the preferences for AA and anisotropic to “use application settings”.

Also try a clean boot of your Windows program. On how to do that, see this page here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 .

If this helps, please click the white XP button and to give me some XP.
If this solves your question, click the green solution button and mark it as solution so it can help others with the same problem.

Did not see you had an AMD card, while I was typing (thanks for editing your post). Well you pretty much tried everything, other is to wait for a patch.
