Cannot Launch Origin after installing BF1! .NET Errors and WerFault.exe errors

I just installed BF1 and went to start it but nothing happened, I decided to close origin and reopen it. I am now getting this error whenever I try opening origin -

WerFault.exe Application error

The instruction at 0x0000000074495221 referenced memory at 0x00000000006587B8. The required data was not placed into memory because of an I/O error status of 0x000009c.

I booted my pc up and noticed this aswell -

Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. if you click continue the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.

The type initializer for Singleton Factory threw an exception

I have tried -

1. Reinstalling Origin

2. Running as Administrator

I have no idea what could be causing this and I just want to play the game ☹️

    EDIT: Its back... Please help

  • Hey, WerFault.exe is related to Windows Error Reporting, so potential fix is to try to turn it off and check if that helps.

To disable WER pres Win+R, than type services.msc, than on long list you will find Windows Error Reporting, right click on it -> Properties ->  "Startup type" and select "Disabled" -> OK.

Reboot you PC and check if error appears.

I would not recommend keep it disabled at all times, as this is part of OS.

You can also check if same issue appears on new admin account on your PC.

    Fingers crossed 🙂
