Can't download update for Battlefield 4 on PS4. How can I access the update file from a PC so I can transfer it via USB key?

I have already contacted Sony and done all of their trouble shooting. Also, I have contacted EA and my case has been escalated. My case number is 10687901. Though it appears I am the first to bring this to the forum, I have heard similar issues from other people.

       My friends who upgraded from ps3 via the download have had no issues, but those who waited to buy the ps4 version like myself have had similar issues. It seems the easiest way to fix this is to allow access to the update file so we can download it onto a thumb drive and manually install it on the system.  At least that will work until the issue of inability to download updates can be fixed.

        I have had no problems downloading updates for anything else on my PS4, so there is no issue there. I have already performed a UO trace and have a good connection to EA servers. 

        Today I exchanged my copy of Battlefield 4 for a different disc, re-installed it and there has been no improvement. I have been trying to download this update for over 2 weeks. Over 200 attempts, all with the same result. Please allow me access to this update, I just want to play the game.
