Can't even log on to BF2

Ok, well I just learned about this stupid multiplayer shutdown and am wondering if this is why I cannot even log onto Bf2?  

I put in the disc, click on my online name to log in, waited for like two minutes, then it tells me my password is incorrect.  The thing is, I had it "remembered" for ever and never changed it.  I retyped it in and it still wont let me log on to even play one player mode.  Any ideas? Do I need a new password?? If so, then how?  Or am I screwed as the rest of the BF2 fans that cannot play online anymore?

    Yes, its mostly coz GameSpy servers were shut down. http://www.battlelog.co/ register on this website and wait day or two, these guys are working on soltuion and they will soon release an unofficial launcher and patch allowing to play hopefully both single and multiplayer.
