I couldnt find any multiplayer match.
I could only play using the server browser option, but i dont think this is reliable.

There are still many many matches going on 24/7 in the BF4 world !
So plenty of action and fun for you to join in on. And as @ElliotLH proposes, then the server browser is absolutely the best way for you to find the best servers to join at any point of time. And its perfectly fine to trust, as long as you also decide to join the found server at that point if time. As the server search is done just at that point of time you ruin it, so to speak. Aka you may have a server that runs a carrousel of different maps or game modes. So you should join up at the point you made the search, as otherwise the server may have moved on to another map or game mode since you made your search.
Also if you do not find any servers when you search, its typically because you have entered too many criteria and no server in the world is able to fulfill all your requirements just then and there. Some of the default criteria are actually too hard, so often a challenge for players tio use this Server Browser until you get some routine with it. Aka the criteria with "open player slots on the server" is often too restrictive, so even if the server is live and full of players, then you will not see it, if you criteria is to have 5 or 10 free spots. I would personally like to join the queue anyway for a given server, if its hosting the game type I like to play that day. Then it often just take max a few minutes till you can join the fun on it.

The one thing I had to do to find a match was when you go to finding servers, reset the filter. Then the servers that have people should pop up.
