Can't hear bfh

I loaded up BFH in campaign mode and I can't hear anything.
I have tried unplugging and replugging the headset, muting and unmuting, and even trying something with taskmanager.
multiplayer works fine.

Try to do a clean boot it could be a program that is messing with your sounds.

I think some windows update reset something, but bfh still doesn't work.
and now sometimes when bf4 is running windows minimizes bf4 and the sound goes away.
also, bf4 doesn't start in full screen.

The problem is still here!
so, I turned off the windows fullscreen optimizations, and it seemed to work,
but now it isn't.
