I have the same issue. Does EA respond to these or even see them? It looks like it's been more than a week since this thread was created. Is this the only way to report a bug and have it fixed?
In the meantime until they fix this if your having issues purchasing upgrades when the rank glitches you can always log into the companion app and purchase them that way.
