Connection to EA Online timed out... (REPOST)

I've been having the same issue since the weapons crate update has launched. The error is also "Connection to EA Online timed out. Your network bandwidth and/or network latency may not meet the requirements for this game." I couldn't connect to JP servers anymore, and connecting to HK servers is no fun as I am having a ping of 250ms and up. Playing on US West Coast servers seems to be the only workaround for me now.

I've tried about anything I could do to fix this problem myself and followed what the troubleshooting guide said. My ISP seems to be not the issue since I am still able to play other online games just fine and I am able to connect to JP servers in BF4 without a problem. It seems like this problem is only occuring in BF1 for me. Keep in mind I also tried other potential fixes that I could do that I haven't saw in AHQ.

I figured to wait this issue out until the next update since most connectivity issues are just temporary, but with the Road to BFV challenges, it's a shame to not play the game during the event.

    if I understand you correct you cant connect to server from Japan at all?

      Thanks for the response! It is as you say. I also forgot to mention that there also many other players mainly from the SEA region including me, who isn't able to connect to JP servers. I found them posting their issues in the BF1 forums and even on reddit. And one more thing, I used to have a ping of around 60ms on HK servers before the weapons crate update, but I am having a constant ping of around 250ms sometimes spiking up to 300ms presently on HK servers. Thanks!
