Hey there,
I also have the same problem on my GTX680 with latest graphics drivers installed. I tried to update Directx, but that didn't help at all.
Secondly I tried a clean system boot on my PC, same problem.
So basically, I'm still waiting on a solution from EA. However, I talked with a adviser via live chat and the guy recommended getting a new GPU, since the game runs at minimum settings capacity. But I'm not sure about that though.
I do think it needs to be fixed at EA's side.
Looking for solutions it seems ^^

This error is supposed to be the result of sloppy driver codes not clearing out old pointers. It is best to choose "CLEAN" driver upgrades.
You may have to run a cleanup. I've used Cclean, Fred vdp suggests DDU.

I did run DDU in safe mode before installing those new drivers.
Even though 2GB vram is not considered a lot these days it does not mean an upgrade is needed I can still play the game just fine.
Any news of a fix for this coming ?

An advice from EA's advisor is ridiculous. I read many posts from people having the same issue with the newest GPUs (i.e. GTX 1070). Here is a link:

Running the latest drivers, win10, all clean installed. Easy 60fps with the vga, sync off is easy 90 fps. Not the best setup but should run it fine.
