After calling the support team for both companies, I didn't have success. Apparently the link is broken and they do not have a process in place for the lower level call handlers to deal with. This is why we keep getting pushed into the dead-ends of the phone scripts. I used to work in phone service myself, so I understand these are in place for monetary reasons, so we'll have to make a more targeted approach to have a breakthrough. It's really frustrating that PC players can redeem the code but not us xbox players. (Note: I bought a second collector's edition for a fresh code, I verified the first code worked with my PC, now I will work on getting it working for PC)
Xbox Support: As soon as they heard 16 digit code they launched into a “contact ea” script and hung up. She wouldn’t even look at the photos to see that the Xbox support link being broken was actually the problem here.
EA Support: I spent 20 minutes on the phone with them and they worked to help find me a solution. They stated they didn’t have a process for this problem in place. They said to call the people I bought it through, (in this case, Amazon).
DICE stopped supporting the game back in 2020 I believe, so I'll try to get in touch with them anyways, but looks like we'll have to find a way to reach someone at Xbox/EA that is really interested in finding a solution, not getting off the call. (I'm not bashing EA, they did try to help, but ultimately gave up).
