EA Access Trial And Vault

So, I had 1 month of EA Access when I bought my Xbox One S. I had a bit of trouble redeeming it but when I did, I immediately started downloading Battlefield 1. When I started playing it, I was enjoying it and I had to do something and just shut off my console. (I have the quick start option on my Xbox, which basically puts my Xbox on sleep) I came back, and it said my trial has ended. I was devastated, but that was in the past.

Now, I bought another month of EA Access, 'cause I want to play BF1 again. I have started downloading it, and have gotten to "ready to start". When I try to start it, it says my trial has ended. Now it is still downloading, and I just want to know, is there a point in continuing downloading it, or is it going to say that my trial has ended and I have to buy BF1?

  • Battlefield 1 got just added recently to EA Access's list of games so you get unlimited hours nowadays as long as you got EA Access. Prior you only got a timed trial as a promotion sort of thing. So yes, it should work after it has finished up and it isn't just a trial anymore !

When the download has completed, if it still says that your trial has ended and just refuses to work, it might be that the former trial installation is getting in the way of the current one. In such a case I would suggest that you try and uninstall the game and install it back again fresh.

Sorry to hear what happened to your last trial @Melkins21. I hope everything would work correctly now after the download finishes.

    Good luck !

  • Honestly you seem more helpful than EA and Xbox support right now. EA told me to contact Xbox, and Xbox told me there was nothing they can do and told me to contact EA. I am kinda frustrated and hope you are correct that it should work after it finishes.

Hey @Melkins21, I think @RedFoxxie is on the right path there.

With EA Access, you get the "Play First Trial". You don't have to buy the game but can play it for 10 hours. Your online progress is stored and if you at a later time purchase the game, you can continue from there.

Recently, BF1 was added to the Vault, so you should be able to launch the EA Access App and download it from there. Since it has been two days now, the download is probably finished - is it working yet?
