EA just killed community servers with forced migration to EA app

It's no longer possible to renew community servers with the EA app. This will result in all community servers dying one by one because they simply can not be renewed. This bug has been in EA app since launch and it never got fixed. I always believed it would get fixed before they started with the forced migration from Origin to EA app, but now they forced the migration without a fix for this bug.

If this not gets fixed, it's the end of community servers and the end of a cheatfree gaming experience on PC.

Before any community admin reacts with ways to fix the game, it's not game related. Multiple admins have tested this and nobody is able to renew the servers via EA.

    Hey everyone,

Many thanks for all the reports.

The EA app dev team has deployed a hotfix for the EA app that addresses this issue.

Could you try again to renew a Community Server (RSP) and see if you still experience the issue?

    Update 13-12-2022:
Issue confirmed resolved by OP. Post 124.

@EA_Leeuw, The Application Updates setting is already on, I turned it off and then turn it on again. Restarted EA App multiple times and it's still not updated.

I ran the EA Updater as administrator and it said EA App is already up to date.

I made an error report  through EA App, this is the report id: 0665ba7e-7009-44b9-92f1-8296f5d82ff2

    Hey @gksvr1,

Also this specific issue (renting a new RSP BF1 PC server) should now be resolved. Could you give it another go and let us know how it went if you get the chance?

@EA_Leeuw, EA App is updated and I can confirm I'm able to rent a new RSP BF1 PC server. Thank you so much! <3
  • the forced migration should not even have happened because this app legit just came out a couple years ago but was in beta for a year of it and now ppl are having problems with launching games that worked days prior from the forced migration this whole ea app thing was half baked
