EA removed Battlefield games because they are old ?

The Online Service for Battlefield 2142 for PC and Mac (including Northern Strike expansion) has been discontinued due to the shutdown of GameSpy.

GameRanger is the way forward for this particular game: http://www.gameranger.com/about/
