You used http://www.punkbuster.com/index.php?page=support-bf4.php to up date PB Files.
1. Go to: http://www.punkbuster.com/index.php?page=support-bf4.php [punkbuster.com]
2. Download "PBsetup.exe"
3. Click "Add Game" and select "Battlefield 4"
4. Click "Update"
if you've done it this way and your still receiving the error then unfortunately its due to the last update but as long as you still get in to games, this sisue will be fixed eventually.
On a side not you can in fact try forwarding your ports
TCP: 80, 443, 9988, 17502, 20000-20100, 22990, 42127
UDP: 3659, 14000-14016, 22990-23006, 25200-25300

reinstallin PB didnt help unfortunately. Going to read about port forwarding, but I do not sure it could help. If ports wouldnt open or cant be reached the game would not never connect to server, but it connect after many attempts. Anyways, thank you for trying, friend.
I am sorry to hear you hadn't much luck. I'm sure it will get sorted out within the coming week as its is a known issue for alot of players across Battlefield on the PC.
