ERROR Game disconnected "port 3659 (UDP) is open." Issue

I have opened this port on my router and put made it open in my firewall.   I have made no changes to my computer and suddenly today it's an issue.  funny thing is.  the three other computers on my network.   no problem so my router is correctly forwarding the ports to the designated computers.  all the computers have static IP address and have had individual expecptions set up for each IP address.  each computer has also had All BF4 exceptions placed in them.  I have fallowed all directions and opened all ports listed here http://help.ea.com/en/article/online-ports-for-battlefield-4/   and here http://help.ea.com/en/article/opening-tcp-or-udp-ports-for-connection-issues/  This issue is not solved nor is it resolved.  with the launch of a new Battle field title on the horizion and a new content patch comeing soon.  I feel that this issue that has been prevelent for over six months should be addressed.  I have attempted to use the EA help website to ask questions and provide any information I could to help this issue be resolved faster but unfortunatly the "how would you like us to contact you?"  part at the end is blank no options.    a solution to this would be great I have experinced this issue on and off every few weeks.

p.s.

I know this question has been asked several if not hundreds of times but everyone i've seen is checked as "solved"  with a simple post form someone saying "open your ports"  or   "oh turns out I am on a network I have no control over so I can't fix"  neither of these are solutions to me so I have made my own post.

sorry for wall of text

I believe the ports are hitting each other, How did you forward each PC? Last time i tryed BF4 on lan it was fail =/ 2 clients on PC could not play same time. There is away to change the port now i think^ forgive me i type as i look to ensure fast support time, then edit etc sumtimes or u kno adapt, get infos whatevers , how u forward all the ports? all 4 ppl been in squad same time and survived a match? if so funky =) Also if not a issue upto now, have u tryed resetting your router. Just unplug it 20 seconds and then back in, same with PC. This is such a epic fix in the IT industry =p

Forgive me no BF installed atm, coming of a reformat. Its next , about to go reset ten or so times with updates:

Right click on BF4 in origin. Click Properties

    Add this commandline

    +clientport 232323

    or

    +clientport 23666

    etc

This shld change the port. You will see via your firewall kicking up at the new rule. Offskies bck soon D

  • thank you for the quick respons.  I had restarted modem several times last night and it had no effect.  I had also restarted my computer and the error still persisted.   as for how I was opeing the ports and doing port forwarding.  two ways.  I went into my router comcast router and opened all of the ports associated with battlefield 4.  I also went in and created exceptions on those same ports.  (meaning they router would just send data through them with out them being scrutinized by it's internal firewall.)  for the UDP protocol and TCP protocol for all of my gameing PC's and their static IP's.   and yes in the past I have had all 4 PC's running on different servers, same servers differnt squads and even same squad with no issues.

I have attempted to try the    +clientport 232323.    I have yet to attempte to play a game.  when I do I will be back with the results.

I doubt that will work since there are 65535 ports 🙂

    Think that's a typo, so put +clientport 23232

  • NOTHING ever works for this error.  All these poeple saying do this do that and it worked for me... there is no proof of that.  What I do know is that I have never met anybody online or in meh clans that has NOT had this problem.  ANd it comes and goes all the way back to BF3 and BF4.  I've just had a bad case of it now for 2 week sand I'm really **bleep**'d b/c I have not been able to play a single minute and I've spent HOURS on "trying" to fix it.. OR hpping again for the 100th time that it just goes away on it's own li usually does.  For the life of me I can not figure why this is not officially addressed by DICE.  It's obviously a major flaw with networking or something that affects a lot of people.

  • Hello

For Battlefield on PC, please enable the following online ports on your connection:

    TCP: 80, 443, 9988, 20000-20100, 22990, 17502, 42127
    UDP: 3659, 14000-14016, 22990-23006, 25200-25300

For specific instructions on how to open your ports, please visit http://www.portforward.com/ or contact your router manufacturer.

Also see this EA Help article for information on opening TCP or UDP ports: http://help.ea.com/en/article/opening-tcp-or-udp-ports-for-connection-issues/

I hope these tips help you.
