For the love of God someone please help me. For hours I've literally tried everything I could find.
The problem I have is exactly the same as this, but when I try to re-install vc++, I reach about 60% (once I managed to reach about 80%) I get the message:
Error1336.There was an error creating a temporary file that is needed to complete installation.
This occurs on the 64 and 32 bit installers. I looked into error 1336 and all I could find were 2 methods:
Delete all files in %temp%
Disable UAC
My UAC has always been disabled (I double checked anyway) and after a lot of struggle I managed to delete every file in temp and recycle. After running the installation again, I still got the same error.
I think I have installed all the files, as I located the install location and got a friend to install the files too. Everything was identical, even the files in the cab1.cab file. I'm not a computer whiz so this could mean nothing or be wrong.
Thank you to anybody who can help me!

Try to install as ADMINISTRATOR and see if it installs now.
Right click the file and choose RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

I've tried that before, it doesn't work. Any other ideas?
Thanks

Is your anti-virus disabled (temporarily) while trying to install?

Yes it is
