Error: Too many computers have accessed this account's version of Battlefield 1

This game would be awesome to play, I can only imagine the things I could do if I didn't constantly get

"We're Sorry, an error has occured

Too many computers have accessed this account's version of Battlefield 1 recently. Please try again later."

And no, no-one has my details. I can only assume it is because I changed graphics cards today as it was working before that (albeit crashing a LOT which was related to the change of GFX card but is not related to this issue.)

Once I changed the card over it worked okay as I solved the issue another way so I put my 970 back in. Once this happened I got nothing but this terrible message.

I tried to get help from EA chat but I got told to do massively redundant things (as you can see from my attachment), for instance start Internet Explorer up for the first time to reset it to it's default status...

And he told me to do something that needed a system reset and asked me if the chat would end.. obviously it would but I'm sure he wanted to go home at the end of the day as when I had restarted no-one was available to help via chat.

Terrible service I have to be honest. EA have a well deserved reputation where I'm sure someone could just reset the counter or something on this to allow me to play.. I'm guessing I'm gonna have to hit them up for a new CD key but if anyone has any info on how to fix this I'd rather do that.

Just so you know, I followed the steps in the chat log, attached.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Origin (several times)

Any further info to add to this would be great. Or if EA themselves knew how to fix their own message it would be even better.

Sorry for missing that. It's quite busy here but that's not a worthy excuse.

As for the issue I don't have any other direct steps other than waiting for a while, which is obviously less than ideal. If I can get any more info or a direct fix I'll update the thread.

@Hotchipman Hi, I'm sorry to hear that you've had a poor experience. While clearing Origin's cache can help, sometimes a reinstall of Origin itself can also get this sorted.

[edit to remove foolishness, sorry for misreading the initial post]

  • Hi EA_David thank you for your in-depth reading of my problem. Especially the part that said I've reinstalled several times. Unfortunately this hasn't worked.

I think it may be time for EA to remove Denuvo.. Jesus.

Denuvo is malware you are forcing on people and anyone who frequently decides to change hardware is at risk of losing access to their game... This is terrible to do to customers. Another reason EA are among the worst money hording people on the planet.

Time to teach your chatline jockeys what their systems use as well so as to avoid asking customers to install Internet Explorer and restore it to default.. SMH

I can't wait to chat to them again tomorrow.

    /end rant.

@EA_David It's obvious we need to wait but the question is, how long? May we know, please? If cannot, why?
