So my ESC key does not work in BF4 any more, and this is really annoying since I cannot change any settings or quit or key bindings.
My ESC Key works on anything else just not in BF4, its not my keyboard since i swapped it out already and it still does not work with the other keyboard, I cleared the key bindings to default and still it doesn not work.
Does any one know what this might be???
Im running Windows 8.1 if that might be it.

Hi, you probably just need to reset your key bindings.
You might be able to hit SHIFT+ESC instead. When in BF4 options menu you should then reset key bindings.
Also, sometimes just restarting Origin fixes it.
I've also read before about webcam drivers and logitech keypads being plugged in causing this problem like this.

Hello Stop_World_War_3 , Go to Documents and remove folder Battlefield 4... Join on any server and check if your problem is still active.
Delting that folder made no difference.
Seems that one time when I altered key-bindings; I altered and forgot which keybinding I used to replace Esc: and therefore could not get back to OPTIONS as I didnt know which key it was re-addressed to .
I had assumed "Esc" Key ALWAYS got you out of game; and in-game that binding `Esc`? was for something else....? sumthin like ... dunno reeally.. 😉
I guess thousands of people will accidentally make the same error.
