    Try plugging in a wired controller and launch the game, for me it works when doing so. I can use my mouse normally  and click on everything as long as I don't touch the controller and have it plugged in.

    Sorry but i can't help you with update you can try repair the game and restart PC...

    [Am not working for EA, If is answer good pls give me XP or accept as solution.]
