Extreme Frame Rate Drops, Low Menu FPS

So here's the problem: recently, probably around the time Nivelle Nights released, I started having this issue: every so often the game would almost freeze, getting less than 1 frame per 5 seconds. It would stay like this for at least 1 full minute, and then it would catch me up to where I was (dead, generally).

This problem lasts for so long and hits so frequently that Battlefield 1 is no longer playable. Also, even more recently, the menu has lost a lot of frame rate as well, and now runs very slow.

I'd really like to complete the summer missions, so if anyone has an answer I'd love to hear it. It isn't a problem with the graphics; it's always run fine on medium, and I've tried setting it lower- to no effect.
